McDonald Named MonDak MVP; Three Tetons Earn Postseason Honors
Williston, N.D. — The Williston State College men's basketball team was well represented in the MonDak Conference postseason awards, highlighted by Josiah McDonald being named the MonDak Most Valuable Player.
McDonald led the Tetons with a dominant season, playing in 30 games and averaging 26.0 points per game, the top scoring mark in the conference. He shot 45.4% from the field, 33.3% from three-point range, and 77.6% from the free-throw line while also making a major impact across the stat sheet with 7.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. His consistent offensive production and leadership helped power Williston State throughout the season and earned him the conference's top individual honor.
Joining McDonald on the MonDak First Team All-Conference is teammate Eden Hobbs, who also turned in an outstanding campaign for the Tetons. Hobbs played in 30 games and averaged 21.9 points per game, ranking among the conference's top scorers. He shot 48.8% from the field, 32.5% from three-point range, and 82.8% from the free-throw line while adding 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
Williston State also placed Carson Haerer on the MonDak Second Team All-Conference. Haerer appeared in 30 games and averaged 11.1 points per game while shooting 40.4% from the field. He also contributed 5.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game, providing the Tetons with strong playmaking and rebounding from the guard position.
The postseason honors reflect the Tetons' strong season and the impact of their top performers in the MonDak Conference. McDonald's MVP recognition, along with Hobbs' First Team selection and Haerer's Second Team honor, highlights Williston State's presence among the conference's elite players.
