Teton Men take down LRSC 134-85
The Williston State College men's basketball team delivered a dominant road performance Thursday night, rolling past Lake Region State College - ND 134-85.
The Tetons put together one of their most efficient offensive outings of the season, shooting a blistering 70.3 percent (52-of-74) from the field and 58.8 percent (20-of-34) from beyond the arc. Williston State also controlled the glass with a 44-26 rebounding advantage and dished out 39 assists on 52 made baskets.
Eden Hobbs led the offensive explosion with a game-high 39 points, knocking down 16-of-23 shots from the floor and 7-of-13 from three-point range. Josiah McDonald added 25 points, hitting four triples, while Carson Haerer poured in 24 points on an efficient 9-of-11 shooting night and orchestrated the offense with 13 assists.
Andrew Sauer contributed seven points and six rebounds to go along with six assists, and Joaquin Powell chipped in five rebounds in the starting lineup.
The Tetons' bench provided a strong spark, combining for 35 points. Bridger Johnson was perfect from long range, going 3-for-3 from deep for nine points. Christopher Davis added nine points and three rebounds, while Mason McPeak scored six points in limited minutes. Charlie McKenna filled the stat sheet with five points, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
Williston State's defensive pressure forced 13 turnovers and limited Lake Region to just 22.7 percent shooting from three-point range. Akok Ajou led the Royals with 17 points, while Remy Davis Warrington and Dalen Leftbear each scored 14.
From the opening tip, the Tetons set the tone with sharp ball movement and hot shooting, building separation early and never looking back. By halftime, Williston State had established a comfortable cushion and continued to extend the lead in the second half behind its balanced attack and relentless pace.
