The Williston State men's basketball team defeated United Tribes Technical College 82-71 on Thursday night. The game was a back-and-forth contest that saw the Tetons trail at the half 40-36. The Tetons were able to hold the typically hot shooting Thunderbirds to just 22.2% from beyond the 3-point line. The Thunderbirds only attempted three free throws in the game. 

Rex Sterling filled the stat sheet with 17 points, 18 rebounds, and 3 assists. Richard Massey was another bright spot for the Tetons. He scored 17 points and racked 9 boards. The Tetons shot 43.7% from the field. The Tetons prevailed even after shooting a season low 8.7% from three. 

Both the Men and Women are back in action on Monday February 5th in Bismarck, ND as they will take on Bismarck State College.
