Tetons Sweep Dickinson State JV in Dominant Three-Set Victory
The Williston State College volleyball team put together a strong all-around performance Tuesday night, defeating Dickinson State's JV squad in straight sets. The Tetons controlled the match from start to finish, showcasing balance on offense and consistency in serve receive and defense.
Leading the way for the Tetons was Ella Morken, who tallied 13 kills while hitting an impressive .333. Dani Jordan followed closely with 11 kills and 14 digs, giving the Tetons a steady presence at the net and in the back row. Cailyn Fraser added 9 kills on .471 hitting, while Patricia Kirby provided a spark off the bench with 8 kills and a .583 hitting percentage.
Setting duties were split effectively between Tristy Kreil and Paula Blanco Retuerta, who combined for 40 assists. Kreil finished with 24 assists and 6 digs, while Blanco Retuerta contributed 16 assists and solid ball distribution throughout the match.
The Tetons also excelled behind the service line, collecting 6 aces as a team. Abi Elkins and Kreil each chipped in 2 aces, applying constant pressure on the Blue Hawk defense.
On the defensive side, Emma Hane anchored the back row with 11 digs, helping keep long rallies alive and setting up transition opportunities for the Tetons' offense.
With the sweep, Williston State continues to build momentum as they head deeper into the season. The Tetons are back in action on Tuesday in "The Well" at 7:00 against Miles.
