TETONS EARN ROAD SWEEP
The Williston State College volleyball team continued their strong conference play on Wednesday night, earning a straight-set victory on the road. The Tetons defeated their conference opponent 3–0 behind a balanced offensive attack and aggressive serving performance.
Leading the way for the Tetons was Ella Morken, who delivered a dominant showing with 14 kills on 34 swings, hitting an impressive .294 for the match. Morken's consistent presence at the net fueled the Teton offense, while Dani Jordan added 11 kills and hit .381, continuing her standout freshman campaign.
Setter Tristy Kreil efficiently ran the offense, dishing out 15 assists and contributing 2 aces from the service line. The Tetons' serving game proved to be a difference-maker, with the team collecting 13 aces overall. Paula Blanco Retuerta led that charge, recording 4 aces to go along with 12 assists and 8 digs in an all-around performance.
Defensively, Williston State held firm with 34 total digs, led by Blanco Retuerta and Abi Elkins, who each tallied 8 and 6 digs, respectively. Erika Hanson and Cheyenne Hayes combined for 4 total blocks, helping the Tetons shut down key hitters and control the net.
With the sweep, the Tetons move to 11-7 on the season and 3-3 in Mon-Dak play. They will next host Dickinson State on Saturday at 4:00 CT in "The Well".
