Teton Women Advance to Region 13 Championship
With a dominant 93–60 victory over Miles Community College, the Williston State College Tetons are headed to the Region 13 Championship Game.
The championship matchup will take place March 8 in the Well. More details will be announced soon.
The win improves the Tetons to an impressive 30–1 overall on the season.
Williston State controlled the game on both ends, shooting 44.7% (38-of-85) from the field and knocking down 10 three-pointers. The Tetons dominated the glass with a 50–33 rebounding advantage, including 16 offensive boards, and dished out 23 assists on the night.
Leila Heffernan led the way with 18 points and six rebounds on 9-of-13 shooting. Dani Jordan added 15 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Taylah Murtagh and Jersey Berg each scored 13 points. Berg also recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds.
Sophie Barker contributed 11 points and a game-high eight assists, and Lucia Bellido provided nine points and nine rebounds off the bench.
Miles was led by Matilda Sanz with 22 points and Ebele Mbagwu with 18.
With the victory, the Tetons advance one step closer to a Region 13 title, carrying momentum and a 30–1 record into Saturday's championship showdown. More information to come!
