Williston State Women Receive Votes in Week 6 NJCAA National Poll
The Williston State College women's basketball team is gaining national attention, receiving votes in the Week 6 NJCAA National Poll. The Tetons are off to an impressive 11–1 start to the season and continue to establish themselves as one of the top teams in the country.
Through 12 games, Williston State is averaging 90.5 points per game, ranking 3rd nationally, while shooting 47.7% from the field (6th). The Tetons have been efficient offensively, ranking 3rd in field goals made per game (35.3) and 6th in assists per game (21.5).
Defensively, Williston State has been just as dominant. The Tetons force 24.8 turnovers per game (6th nationally) and average 15.3 steals per game (12th). Opponents are held to just 57.9 points per game and 32.9% shooting from the field, both among the top marks in the NJCAA.
Williston State also excels at the free-throw line, shooting 74.1%, which ranks 4th nationally, and owns a +6.2 rebounding margin per game. Their overall balance is reflected in a net efficiency rating of 0.386, good for 12th in the nation.
