Softball Region 13 Awards
Three members of the 2026 Williston State College softball team earned Region 13 postseason honors following standout seasons for the Tetons. Sophomore pitcher Lily Adams, sophomore infielder Jersey Berg, and freshman outfielder Shaylyn Russell were all named to the All-Region 13 team after helping lead Williston State throughout the spring campaign.
Adams served as the ace of the Tetons pitching staff all season long, logging 126 innings in the circle. The right-hander posted a 3.67 earned run average while striking out 136 batters and issuing just 48 walks. Adams also recorded five wins by decision and consistently gave the Tetons quality innings throughout the season.
Berg made an immediate impact despite appearing in only 20 games this spring due to an extended postseason run with the Williston State women's basketball team. The athletic shortstop hit .413 at the plate with 26 hits, including seven doubles and four home runs. Defensively, Berg was a steady presence in the infield, posting a .920 fielding percentage at shortstop.
Russell turned in a strong all-around season in the Tetons outfield, appearing in 45 games. She batted .360 with 40 hits, 11 doubles, six triples, and four home runs. Russell also drove in 28 runs and stole five bases while providing consistent production near the top of the lineup.
Following the school year, Berg will continue her basketball career at the University of Wyoming, while Russell will continue her academic and athletic career at Houston-Tillotson University.
