Baseball Post Season Awards; 6 All-Conference, 4 All-Region
The historic 2026 Williston State Tetons baseball season continued to add accolades following a record-setting year that saw the Tetons finish 47-15 overall while capturing both the MonDak Conference and Region 13 Championships.
After posting a dominant 17-3 conference record, the Tetons cleaned up postseason honors across the region while cementing themselves as one of the premier programs in NJCAA Division II baseball.
Williston State placed six players on the All-Conference team including Nick Shrider, Cameron Fenn, Ashton Sweet, Grant Nekuza, Dylan Klossner and MonDak Pitcher of the Year Collin Cobb. Head coach Mason Przybilla was also named the MonDak Coach of the Year after leading the Tetons to one of the best seasons in school history.
The Tetons battled through the Region 13 Tournament loser's bracket before defeating Dakota County Technical College twice in the championship round to secure the Region 13 title.
Four Tetons earned All-Region 13 honors highlighted by Region 13 MVP Grant Nekuza. The sophomore shortstop put together one of the best all-around seasons in the region, hitting .369 with 73 hits, 29 doubles, two triples, six home runs and outstanding defensive numbers. Nekuza recorded a .960 fielding percentage while totaling 133 assists and 61 putouts as the everyday anchor of the Teton infield.
Sophomore first baseman Dylan Klossner earned All-Region recognition after rewriting the Williston State record book. Klossner hit .398 while setting a new school record with 76 hits. He added 24 doubles, one triple, seven home runs and 66 RBIs while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage at first base.
Relief pitcher Lachlan Amon was also named All-Region 13 after becoming one of the Tetons' most reliable bullpen arms throughout the season. Amon logged 37.2 innings with a 3.82 ERA while striking out 50 batters. He appeared in 16 relief outings and collected eight saves during the championship season.
Sophomore ace Collin Cobb capped off one of the greatest pitching seasons in the 60-year history of Williston State baseball. Cobb finished the season with a 10-2 record and a 2.18 ERA across 70.1 innings pitched. He shattered the school strikeout record with 119 strikeouts, a mark that ranked second nationally in NJCAA Division II baseball. Cobb's dominant year earned him both All-Region honors and MonDak Pitcher of the Year recognition.
Leading the charge for the Tetons was Region 13 Coach of the Year Mason Przybilla, who guided the program to a school-record 47 victories while building one of the top pitching staffs and defenses in the nation.
Defensively, the Tetons finished the season with the top fielding percentage in all of NJCAA Division II baseball at .980. The pitching staff also ranked third nationally in team ERA while the Tetons' 490 strikeouts established another new school record and ranked eighth nationally.
The 2026 Tetons will be remembered as one of the greatest teams in program history, combining elite pitching, defense and timely offense throughout a championship season that raised the standard for Williston State baseball.
