Williston State to Celebrate Dedication of Baseball and Softball Fields
Williston State College is set to host a historic day for Teton athletics on Saturday, September 13th, with the official dedication of its newly renovated baseball and softball facilities. The day will mark the unveiling of the Kasmer and Aafedt Athletic Complex, celebrating a $5.6 million transformation that brings state-of-the-art amenities to Teton athletes and the Williston community.
The event begins at 11:30 a.m. with a free community BBQ at Clark's Table, giving fans, alumni, and families an opportunity to come together before the ceremony. At 12:30 p.m., the celebration shifts to newly named Leininger Field, where the official field dedication and naming ceremony will take place. The project included the installation of turf, new grandstands, stadium lighting, and many other enhancements that elevate the experience for both players and fans.
Following the ceremony, the newly renovated complex will be showcased as Teton Baseball and Teton Softball each take the field for fall exhibition games beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Adding to the significance of the day, several legendary Teton names will be in attendance, including Phil Rabon, Terry Olson, and Hunter Berg, who have each played pivotal roles in building the tradition of Williston State athletics.
"This is more than just a dedication of fields—it's a celebration of our past, present, and future," said WSC Associate Athletic Director Mason Przybilla. "These renovations provide our student-athletes with some of the best facilities in the region, while honoring the history and people who helped shape Teton athletics."
The community is invited to join the celebration, enjoy great food, and watch the Tetons in action as Williston State takes a bold step forward in athletic excellence.
