Williston, ND — Williston State College sophomore right-handed pitcher Jacob Young has been named a JBB First Team All-American, capping off a dominant 2025 season on the mound. The honor solidifies Young's status as one of the premier relievers in junior college baseball this year.
Hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Young was a force out of the bullpen for the Tetons. In just 21.1 innings of work, he posted a jaw-dropping 0.84 ERA, striking out 35 batters while recording four saves. His ability to miss bats and shut the door late in games made him one of the most feared arms in the country.
"Jacob was as reliable as they come," said WSC Head Coach Mason Przybilla. "Every time we handed him the ball, he gave us a chance to win. His poise, command, and competitiveness were off the charts."
Young's performance didn't just help secure wins—it anchored the Teton bullpen and gave the coaching staff a go-to option in high-pressure moments. His elite ERA and strikeout rate placed him among the national leaders in both categories, catching the attention of voters and national scouts alike.
This fall, Young will continue his baseball and academic journey at Arkansas Tech University, bringing his high-octane arm and experience to the Wonder Boys' program.
"Jacob has earned everything that's come his way," Mason Przybilla added. "We're excited to see what he does at the next level."
